Welcome to the first Tuesday Travel post. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire.
About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt, we start where we left off last week
“We agreed you needed a detox, and to stop with the witchcraft,” Sahel said.
“No, you told me I had to stop, you decided I was addicted without asking me about how I felt, why I did it, what I actually did.”
“For Hell sake, last time you tried something big you ended up prisoner in the Demon World, come an tell me again it's not dangerous.” Sahel interrupted.
“And you drunk a potion without knowing what it was, tell me how that's not reckless,” Brownie said.
“We are not here to talk about me or my actions, I learned from them. We are here to talk about you because you haven't.”
“I am my own person, I was before you even existed, I do not have to obey you. I can decide what is right all by myself,” Brownie said.
“I love you and you'll end up dead,” Sahel answered.
“Don't you dare tell me you love me in the middle of an argument.”
“But it's true.”
The waffle machine choose the perfect timing to be ready and Brownie turned around so fast to take care of it she almost spilled her tea. He knew how to push her buttons. She had to get out of here. There was no stopping magic, even if she wanted too, she couldn't because if she did she would end up dead.
“I'll be dead without magic,” Brownie said.
“I'll protect you and you know it, I was going to get Seti back as soon as I could,” he said.
“It would have been too late,” Brownie said.
“You don't trust me.”
