“Because
sometimes, what he wants is a bit complicated. Will you let me take
a look at your cheeks?” she asked again.
She was the
persistent type and Kelpie was starting to get annoyed. Normally he
would be the one making up insane stories while Kallisto would
listen, he wondered how she could bear with listening.
“If you're
sure that's what you want,” Kelpie said.
She smiled
again, she had a gentile smile and it disturbed Kelpie a little. She
reach for his cheek with her hand, light light glowed out of her
fingers, it was warm and the touched too was gentle. A wave of doubt
passed in Kelpie, nobody had ever been so gentile with him, she
couldn't be a spy, she wouldn't there was something wrong in the
picture but before he could put his hand on it the contact stop. Her
check was swollen as if she had been the one getting hit.
“Or you
ok?” Kelpie asked.
It was
obvious she wasn't.
“Let me
see your hands,” she said.
Kelpie tried
to hide them, this was more than enough but she look them in hers
anyway and the warm glowing started again. She was radiating
everywhere and Kelpie had no doubt that she was an angel, she was not
only curing his wound but his heart as well. As the glowing started
he noticed the blood on her fingers. The warm sensation was gone and
despite the pain gone, witnessing it on her was making it even worse.
He sworn not to let her cure anyone ever again, blue wings or not.
“Thank
you,” he muttered not really knowing how to thanks someone for
that, “Are you ok?”
“How are
my wings,” she asked. It seemed to be the only thing that really
mattered for her.
“A little
bit lighter than before,” he lied.
“Are you
sure?” she said her swollen face brightening a little as she took
the tips of her feathers in her hand.
“Yes, I
would definitely say so,” Kelpie continued. He needed to find a way
to make her accept her color but until then he would say whatever
would make her happy.
“Let's
continue then,” she said sliding herself a little bit closer.
“Continue?”
Kelpie asked.
