Welcome to a new part of Demon World unedited, we start right where we left off last time.
“Of course it’s painful. Didn’t
you hear them yell? It’s painful and then nothing you’re just
like a piece of dead wood and there is nothing left of you”, Torsti
said punching the wall next to him.
Lonan startle and clung at Odeon a
little afraid.
“I don’t know, but what I know is
that we won’t stay near the hunters to figure it out, whatever
happens, we’ll be out of here as soon as possible and to a safe
place” Odeon said.
“But not before I kill Yue”, Torsti
answered.
“Will you let your proud destroy this
family?” Odeon answered defying.
“Not before I kill Yue” Torsti
repeated.
He stood up, picked up his hammer and
walked out of the room, he needed fresh air.
“Why is he like that?” Lonan asked
when Torsti was out of sight with the door closed behind him so that
he couldn’t hear.
“Because today he finally realized
that there are in this world people stronger than him, faster than
him, smarter than him, that it was just luck for us and any of those
who fought today, to actually survive, because he can’t be sure of
anything anymore in this world and he needs new answers and it’s
difficult to try to get them and even more difficult to understand
them when they are in front of you. He is like that because for the
first time in his life he was not as strong as he expected to be and
the demon in front of him wasn’t as weak. He is just a little bit
scared and fear comes out as anger.” Odeon said.
Lonan yawned, it was a rather longer
explanation than he had expected and listening to a series of because
this and that was making his brain feel dizzy. It took him few
seconds to realize that Odeon had finished talking.
“Then he is afraid of Yue?” He
asked.
“Not only of Yue but I guess Yue is
the easier thing to fight”, Odeon said.
Lonan shook his head. He didn’t think
that Yue was so easy to fight, today was the first time that he had
seen his brother lying on the floor after a fight. Torsti didn’t
even fight back.
“If we fight Yue we will die”, he
said gravely.
“Why do you say that?” Odeon
answered.
“Because… because… Yue is only
alive…” Lonan answered yawning again.
Odeon lied him in his hammock.
