Hello and welcome to a new fruity post for the A-to-Z challenge.
Today's fruit is also an animal, meet the Kiwi.
The kiwi is a delicious fruit better eaten in the morning, as breakfast, he will give you all the vitamins you need (maybe). And guess what? It's a berry! Again. I wonder how many fruit end up to actually be berries, maybe I'll count them for the conclusion if I remember to do so. There are tons of different sort of Kiwi from orange to light green and dark green. This one here is the most common. And apparently the Kiwi is a Chinese fruit even if the kiwi tree thingy called Actinidia are also from India, Japan and southern Siberia.
The Kiwi is called kiwi in a lot of different languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Turkish, Korean, Finnish...) but it's a misnomer in New Zealand where the Kiwi looks like this:
Isn't he so cute!!!
The little kiwi is a bird with no wings and no feather. They are the smaller bird from the ostrich family and they are the bird who lays the largest egg comparing to their body size.
This cutie is however in danger, first it was due to deforestation (thanks humanity) and now it's due to mammal predators.
The Kiwi is the symbols of New Zealand and are being well protected.
