Pre-Plot:
Brownie is a normal girl, or so she thinks. She likes to chat with her sisters about random things, she likes fashion and she is member of the fashion club at school. But one day, as her little brother gets really sick because of a curse placed on him, she meets this really strange guy who cures him absorbing the baby's sickness within himself. As he is about to fall from his new acquired fever, Brownie sees Yue's soul and immediately falls in love with him. But Yue is not a human, Yue is a demon.
Brownie and Yue will built their love story until....

Plot:
Until Yue's soul is stolen. There is nothing left of their love. The purple light dancing in Yue's grey eyes is gone. Forever? Not quite. Brownie is desperate to find it back. And to get a soul stolen by demons, she needs to go deep into dark magic! But Brownie is not a witch, she is just looking for a spell powerful enough to bring her love back. When an amateur starts playing with strong magic without preparation and without caring for the consequences, things turn wrong...

Let's start right where we left off.

She had read how demons erased memories and tortured their preys until they lost everything they ever had. The worst punishment possible for a demon: becoming human. A human with the appearance of a demon who didn’t remember who he was.

But this book listed the ingredients necessary, they explained step by step how to recall a lost soul demonic or not. Brownie read it three times before believing it. She would be able to bring back Yue's soul, she was sure of it now; she knew it was too late for his memory but at least the thing that made her fall in love with him would be safe. She took a sheet of paper and a pencil and wrote down her shopping list with a trembling hand.
It was too late to go tonight but she would go first thing tomorrow morning.

Vampire Friday: Vampire Heart 184

Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?Sign up to be part of our awesome Vampire Friday blog hop team! You know you want to!

Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left of last week

I ended up with the strangest looking carriage in all Praha, me who had been willing not to attract attention, I was in fact failing at it. It had coast me a lot of money to get the horses new shoes. Riding a carriage was a lot easier than riding a horse itself even though it felt like riding too. I was the best coach as long as I was going straight but I had problems to negotiate the turns and after a couple of unsuccessful tries at letting the horses decide for themselves, ending up with them stopping in the middle of the street and blocking other car, how to take it I started to work on different strategies more or less working.
I stopped the carriage near the river and left the horses to a coachman while I walked back to the hotel. I needed to see how my prey was feeling. I bought a bottle of fresh milk and some bread on the way. The curtains of the room were still pulled up and I knew nobody had visited her when I turned the key in the locker. The smell was still strong in the room like impregnated in the wooden floor. She was sleeping in the middle on the white bed sheet. She looked paler than any human I had ever met. I checked her pulse to make sure that she would stay alive and had no more worries about it. She was weak but after eating she was sure to recover some strength. I left the bottle of milk and the bread on the table for her to eat when she woke up and locked her in the room again.

Thursday Fiction 178: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

I knocked it before it hit me and took it from him with a brusk motion.
"I'm here to assess the extend of the damage myself, with the pilots are they are the one who will have to deal with it the most until it's repaired."
"It can't be repaired, now here, we need to go back," Tucker said.
"I might ask for our allies to give us a hand in the matter," I said.
That was total bluff. I had trouble to keep from bitting my lower list while looking at Tucker. He rose an eyebrow.
"Allies," he said.
I didn't know if he looked puzzled or amused by the statement, but he sure looked like he was going to go after my head.
"If you would excuse me," I said continuing pass him to enter the engine room.
"And what Allies would you like to call on exactly?" Tucker said grabbing my arm to turn me around. "You are just an arrogant little girl who doesn't know what she is doing and just want to go run after daddy."
"Release the captain," Debby said.
"Or what? You'll do what you were born for an act like an animal?"
Debby took a step back.
I took my arm from Tucker's grip, straightened myself and look at the guard who hadn't moved an inch.
"You two, this man is under arrest," I said. "Take care of it and he is to have no visit until I say otherwise."
The guards looked at each other.

Wednesday Snippet 181: Blue Angel

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time.

“I don't need protection,” Torsti said. “And I was the one who wanted to get back their, I thought I could find our parents because of all the ghost I saw in that place.” He swung his hammer in the air as if he was playing baseball against un invisible ball. He managed to hit a red leave that went spinning toward Odeon who caught it.
“We can't get Lonan back, you know that,” he said.
“I don't know until I try,” Torsti answer. “And you're the one who really need the kid so you should be the one who keeps moving.”
“Do you hate me that much?” Odeon asked.
“Ok, listen,” Torsti said turning back too look at his brother, “not that I'm bored or anything but I need food and I can't talk without food, damn yes I hate you, you didn't feed me for two freaking days. Is it what you want to hear, because seriously I'm tired of this already. If I was alone here, I'll stay at the nicest hotel while flying back north and forget that the Hunters ever existed.”
“Do you really mean that?” Odeon asked.
“Damn you, they will never leave us alone, they want us all dead, you've seen it, I've seen it, they collect souls to get energy out of them now, either we fight and die or we hide and die, but I need a sandwich or better a steak with a lot of pepper on it. You follow or you're on your own but as it's your choice don't expect me and Lonan to come back for you.” Torsti taking his flight up holding his hammer hanging from the tip of his finger.
Odeon watched him. Torsti was slow, giving him a chance to come with him. He sight and got on his feet and followed his brother trying to avoid to get his large dark green wings caught in the branches of the trees.
Torsti smiled of satisfaction seeing his brother by his side.
“So where are we going?” Odeon asked.
Torsti pointed at the city further away in the North. “First there, they also might have explanation about what happened to us few days ago.”
“I doubt that,” Odeon answered. He had followed Torsti but his brother could still read on his face that he felt beaten up.
“Then I'll have to believe for both of us for a while,” he answered.
