Thursday Fiction 343: Parallel Slip: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction. We continue where we left of last week, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

She let her hair fall on her back and attached them with a black bow. She put black trousers on, a white shirt and a black jumper with only her white shirt's collar to show. She put on dark grey eye shadow and dark purple lipstick. Her mother hated that look. Now she just had to wait until dinner time. She took her canva and the threads. Lot of it was entangled but she could take care of that and finish it in the next few hours she had. Then she would work on the caterpillar and the languages and she would find a piano to practice somewhere when she could finally get out of here. She was going to take back everything her mother had taken from her and some more.

When Isabelle entered the dining room a few hours later, everybody was already sitting at the table and they all looked at her. She hated the attention but at the same time, there was no way to escape it. Her mother had work very hard to make sure every single member of the council found Hamelin to be the safest universe to meet. Some of them truly hated each other and Isabelle wondered how it was possible for them not to jump at each other's throats. Her mother gave her a nasty look before smiling.
