About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

“Viorel would agree with me that her doing magic is the worse idea ever,” Sahel said.
Dylan laughed.
“You're just a scared kid who is trying to control is girlfriend instead of facing his fear.”
Sahel stood up so quickly that his chair fell on the grown startling Brownie.
“What did you say?”
“Oh come on, you're the one with a problem and you know it. Damn what kind of idiot drink a magic potion without knowing what it's supposed to do? You dived into your past unprepared and it totally recked you, which is why you avoid talking about anything else than magic and Brownie's problem with it when everybody knows that the only reason for you to want her to stop magic is because if she ever make another funky potion you might drink it again. She freaking saved your friend a few days ago and that was a hard core job, I can tell you that much. Now get your ass to the Demon World and let the girl have breakfast without stressing her out more than she already is.”
Dylan walked passed Sahel bumping his shoulder into the demon's on purpose on the way out.
“Move, now, and get that chair upright before you do.”
“Who the hell do you think you are talking to me like that?” Sahel asked.
“I'm a vampire and I'm scary as fuck, so get a move on,” Dylan said.
“I'm not going anywhere,” Sahel said. “Brownie and I are not done talking.”
Dylan smirked.
“Suit yourself.”
He walked out the kitchen, down the corridor and Sahel looked at him as he went before closing the door.
“Now...” He turned around to face Brownie but she wasn't there.
The kitchen window was opened, Sahel flew out in search for Brownie.
