Welcome to a new excerpt of Rainbow Catcher for the
Now let's go back to our story.
Summary of previous episodes: Clarissa is coughing and wanted to watch Everett Cooper on TV but Jason refused, she is due to get her rainbow the next day but she seems scared, to make her feel better Jason leave the TV on. Clarissa tried to explain about rainbows, she is a big fan of Everett Cooper but Jason is not too sure about it. Clarissa complained about her dialophone but Jason needs to go to work. Before completely leaving he is thinking about getting her her rainbow. We flashed back to the meeting Jason had with a rainbow seller at the black market. Jason left Clarissa's room to go to work. Jason was talking to his boss about the rainbow coming the next day. Jason prepared the money for the rainbow in a sport bag and went to the hospital. The rainbow seller arrived for the delivery. But it was a scam and Jason prepares to go get the rainbow himself in the desert. Markus has a last surprise for him.
It was an easy diagnosis. She had
been crying so much that she couldn’t breathe properly, the blood
from her heart wasn’t flowing properly to her lungs making them
grow weaker and every little amount of stress was increasing the
symptom.
When she went into the car accident
with their parents, they were taking her to the hospital for fainting
while playing soccer. Jason had thought that the doctors had fixed
everything, not only her broken arm and ankle or the stitches she
needed from the accident but also her first problem. Apparently there
was so much problems with her that they hadn't noticed the main one.
Doctor Marshall put her straight
away on the waiting list for a purple rainbow and asked her what she
wanted. The urgent thing was to make her relax and not force on her
heart.

Yes, it sounds like she has worse problems than a broken arm and ankle.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, it does sound indeed like a lot of problems. Let's hope for the best for her!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good friend she has in Jason! A tender and troubling scene. (Love your falling leaves!)
ReplyDeleteShe is in bad shape it would seem.
ReplyDeleteSo many complications. No wonder they missed the near-fatal flaw. It looks like fall around here, BTW!
ReplyDeleteShe definitely needs help. Good snippet.
ReplyDeleteSometimes in dealing with the most immediate problem it's easy to overlook something less tangible. At least Dr. Marshall figured it out and is trying to get her help.
ReplyDeleteHer heart needs to be stronger, it isn't unlike busy docs to miss something so serious when they have an "obvious" reason for her breathing and crying after the accident. (Not meant to insult the medical profession, I am just aware as to how busy and over-burdened ERs can get)
ReplyDeletePoor thing doesn't ever catch a break, does she? Sometimes it's easy to miss the obvious when so much else is going on.
