Hello and welcome to another yummy fruity post for the A-to-Z April challenge.
Today's post is write on the season as the sakura trees are blooming in Tokyo and will soon bloom in Sendai.
Here is a picture of the place were we used to have barbecue every year when I lived in Tokyo. It's also illuminated for a night and people come to walk along the river under the sakura trees. It's very beautiful and very crowded.
There is a lot of special things with Cherries. As it's easter and people are eating a lot of chocolate they probably got the Mon Chéri chocolate too. I personally find it disgusting, I don't like the liquor part with the cherry in the middle. It's sorta meant to represent love as Mon Chéri means something like "my love, my treasure" in French. I think that fits with the fruit if not with the chocolate.
So today to close the post, here is a Japanese love song titled Cherry!

missing blooming trees...sigh...
ReplyDeleteAs to the chocolate - I prefer really dark one, 95% cocoa :)
No Cherries inside, alcohol or not :)
