WeWriWar 83 Demon and Fairy

Hello everyone and welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the  Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday

In the previous episodes: Seti let the chaos got out of him as the father of his sister's fiance threaten to break the engagement. Wild, he flies to the beach to see the only person near whom he can get rid of the Chaos without pain, the fairy Kallisto in the Human world below his. He can only observe her through a tidal pool. But this time, she is in danger. Trying to rescue her from a snake, Seti lands in the world below. However, as Kallisto tries to touch him, he flies away back to his hidden place on the beach and listen to Kallisto's conversation with her best friend Kelpie who once again proposes to her and is refused. Kallisto needs to choose between Kelpie or going back to the fairy world to marry prince Kordelius. As the night comes, Kallisto goes home and so does Seti and of course his parents are all weird... (Remember, Seti used his forbidden power and left without an explanation... ) Then Seti was mysteriously pushed in his room, in the dark and apparently turned blind. For the past few weeks, Seti is trying to control the Chaos who wants to take over his body. We had some flash back to explain the relationship between Seti and the Chaos. Now Seti seems to be in control again.

Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Now that the Chaos has calmed down, Seti is looking for the way out.

“Protective barrier only on the exits, they shouldn’t be underestimating me,” he said. “Well, I know how to get out of here quietly, but it has been too quiet, let’s give them what they are asking for.”
He took a deep breath and put the candle on the floor then changed his mind. He walk back to the guitar, blow the candle and hide it inside again, just in case they decided to have a look inside his room before locking him up again. He walked back to the door stumbling on some books. Some days having a tidy room could have been useful. He put his hands on the door and moved them to find the border. Then he called the Chaos. He focused his energy on the border and the wall started to move, the molecules reorganizing themselves until a hole appeared.

  1. that's interesting that now he can call the chaos, if I remember correctly he had no control over the chaos before?

  2. Great snippet! I and love the detail of him hiding the candle in the guitar.

  3. I'm glad he has learned to use the chaos inside him. Well done. Happy New Year!

  4. Oh wow, power over molecules too - Seti has all sorts of unexplored abilities. (I don't think he's the type to have a neat room either LOL.) Great snippet!

  5. I like the effect at the end of the snippet, the way he manifests his magic. It's been a great build-up to that point.

  6. He's totally controlling the chaos. This is a good thing, right?

  7. I like the concept that he has Chaos inside of him that he can somewhat control. It's a conflicting sense of power that I tend to gravitate toward.
