Hello everyone!
Welcome to Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.
Here we are, back again for a new Excerpt of Demon and Fairy. Sorry for delayed comment or no comment at all last week, hopefully my boyfriend fixed my internet so I should be able to do better this time around.
Here are my 8 sentences, the weirdness continues (He is Seti and It is the Chaos). And we start where we left off last weeks.
“I
can’t use my powers,” it yelled, adding some more pressure to
Seti’s pain.
“Fine!”
Seti got up and managed to get to his bed.
He
pushed the books and shoes lying on it. It didn’t matter anymore
how chaotic things were around him, he couldn’t see a thing anyway.
“If
you don’t want to listen to me and to let me deal with it fine, do
as you please but I’m just lying there, waiting,” Seti said.
He
extended his wings on the bed and lay down, his hands holding his
head firmly to stop the humming from making it shake. It seems like
if his brain was hurting violently against his crane’s bones.
“Let
see who will have the most
patience,” Seti thought, “I have nothing else to do anyway.”
Answer to last week's comments:
The Chaos is freaking out, but Seti doesn't know that yet... I guess trying to get it under control is not such a bad idea.
Chip: Stuff, just stuff, it's so dark that Seti doesn't see anything so we don't see anything either unless he touch it consciously.

ReplyDeleteAnd who will win this standoff? lol Enjoyed the snippet. :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see how long the wait lasts -- and what happens.
ReplyDeleteif you can't win by physical force, win by mental strength and patience is the best! great snippet!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to why it can't use its powers. Does it have to have Seti's cooperation to use them?
ReplyDeleteGreat, visual scene. You described his pain and predicament really well.
ReplyDeleteI like Seti's attitude. I'll just wait it out : )
ReplyDeleteI like the description of pressure being added to pain; that's visceral. It would be nice to see more sensory description; how do things sound and feel when Seti's moving around and pushing the clutter away? :)
