Welcome to Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.
I'm back to Japan. I run out of internet for the end of last week but now things should go very smoothly. Have fun with a new part of Demon and Fairy.
Here are my 8 sentences, beginning of Chapter 3. (Of course, "he" is Seti).
As he approached the house he heard his sister’s laughter coming from her bedroom. She was with Taram, at least he had fixed that. He took a deep breath getting ready before pushing the kitchen’s door. His parents seemed to have been arguing. His father was reading the newspaper and didn’t even look up. He was always reading after an argument.
“Oh, you’re back,” his mother said smiling at him. “I kept you some dinner warm, sit down.”

Something is clearly wrong....

I'm glad his mother's happy to see him. I wonder how his dad will react, given he isn't even acknowledging his presence. Interesting 8!
ReplyDeleteI like his Mom! Another fascinating snippet today, getting a glimpse of Seti's home life.
ReplyDeleteWonder if his parents aren't speaking because of his sister?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like he really had to brace himself to go in the door.
