I'm in Kyoto for the week-end. This morning, we went to Fushimi Inari Shrine, it's one of the most famous place in Kyoto and everybody goes there but I never had, even if I had been to Kyoto several time.
There is a long walk up the mountain (4 hours) but we only took the small walk (about 1 hour) because my boyfriend had an appointment. Anyway, it was already impressive. The path is packed with red door and small to large shrine. I will definitely have to go back some day to see the all thing.
