At the top of Montmartre we visited the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur and the Christmas market where we tasted some crêpes with sugar which I managed to have leak all over my coat. This again is typically me.
The Basilique is a Roman Catholic church and it took about 39 years to finish building it. I think the dedication of the builders who spent so long on this project maybe feeling like they were never going to see it finished is pretty amazing.
The top of Montmartre also offers a beautiful view over Paris even by cloudy weather.
