I then went to 仁和寺, it was almost closed but I could enter for free. It was really nice, it's a very big temple complex with a nice tower. Then I could take the bus to go straight back to the station and to Osaka.

Japan, 京都 and 大阪 : part 5 龍安寺

After 金閣寺 (Kinkakuji) I went to visit 龍安寺(Ryoanji). This temple is very famous for rock garden. Unfortunately, I was a bit early to see the sakura trees blooming there. I sat for a bit with the other people near the rock garden, it was really relaxing.

Japan, 京都 and 大阪 : part 4 金閣寺

I went back to 京都 the next day but this time I was a lot better organized (actually I had a map) and didn't really want to walk much. I decided to go to visit different temples in the north of the city and I started with 金閣寺(Golden pavilion) and the garden around it. The 金閣寺 is a Zen temple covered with gold leafs.

Japan, 京都 and 大阪 : part 3 大阪's harbor

I spend the following day in  大阪, I was actually pretty tired of so much walking in 京都 so I only went to the harbor for some shopping and looking at the sea. It was really nice and refreshing.
