Japan, 京都 and 大阪 : part 2, bamboo street

Then I finally arrived in bamboo street. I already visited this street one year and a half ago but it was during night time and so I didn't see much of it. So this time I hopefully managed to reach it during day time and to take a lot of pictures. I was really lucky because I really thought I was going to miss it again as I already had walked so much. I then went to visit the place around before going back to 大阪.

Japan, 京都 and 大阪 : part 1, random walk in 京都

At the end of March I had a conference in 大阪 (Osaka) and I decided to go to 京都 (Kyoto) the week-end before to do some tourism. I walk the first post about it random walk because the first day I wanted to go to bamboo street and decided to walk there from the main Kyoto station. It turned up that it was really really far but I discovered and visited nice things on the way. So I will show pictures of bamboo street later on.

Being crafty : bracelet

Few weeks ago I bought a book to make bracelet. It was funny to start using it because I needed to practice my Japanese at the same time as everything is explained in Japanese. The drawings and pictures do make it a lot easier. I started to make some bracelets for myself and also some for my friends. It's very entertaining and creative and I like doing that while watching Japanese dramas.
Here are some of my creations.

Francophonies concert

On the 20th of March, I went to the francophonies concert with some friends. We could see dances from Senegal and a concert from the Senegal international Super stars Daara J family.
Enjoy the show. 

Japan : Chofu's observatory

We left the old mill to go to the National observatory. We first visited the library which is opened to visitors and our guide showed us the room where he used to live. We then went to see the telescopes and the street between them which shows the size of the planets of the solar system and how far they are from each other. It was really interesting.

Japan : old mill in Chofu

After visiting the airport and having lunch there, we walked in direction of the observatory and stopped to visit an old mill. There was also a lot of things from Ancient time stored in one of the room and the mill was still running. It was funny because we had to take out our shoes and put slippers to enter which happens very often in Japan the funny thing was that a part of the visit was outside.
