2 weeks in Taiwan : Flora expo

On the next day, I spend the afternoon at the Flora expo or more accurately 臺北國際花卉博覽會. It presented art and flowers from different countries in several pavilion. It was kind of crowed as it was one of the last week-end of the exposition and we had to wait to see some parts, some were already over booked for the day as well. It was interesting and at the end of the day there was a representation of dance on water which turned out to be something totally different from what I was expecting.

2 weeks in Taiwan : 陽明山國家公園

The next day we went hiking a bit in the 陽明山國家公園 (Yangmingshan National Park) we took a bus which took us from places to places. First we went for lunch in a restaurant near a plantation of calla lilies, then we went to see the volcano 七星山(seven stars mountain) which is extinct but still spread vapor of sulfur. Then we went to bath our feet in the hot spring which was pretty relaxing.

2 weeks in Taiwan : evening walk on 淡水河

After our tour of the artistic quarter we went down to walk along the 淡水河 (Dan Shui River) before going back home. We had the chance to see a very beautiful sunset.

2 weeks in Taiwan : Artistic Taipei

The next day we went to visit the artistic part of Taipei. Its an area on a hill where artists are living in a somewhat more traditional way. Their work places are attached to their housing and can be visited, also workshop are organized during holidays or week-ends. The artistic feeling can be found in every corner of the streets.
