Book Review: Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman (with video)

It has been a while since my last video and even longer since my last book review. Today I have for you a review of "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman. 

I have a mix feeling about this book. It can be some times intense, sometimes boring. It can be hard to follow at time because of the choice of POV and the crazy going time line but it doesn't fail to be interesting. It was a sort of difficult read, the type of book you really have to concentrate on to know where you are at.

Doll Review: Pullip Princess Snow White (with video)

Today I have with me the last doll I was missing to complete my Snow White Series, and curiously, it's snow white, the main doll of the series. 

She arrived from yahoo auction unopened and of course in perfect conditions. 

She is absolutely gorgeous. She has a very particular face up with a luscious bottom lips which is different than most of the recent pullip who have generally something thinner. 

She comes with an outfit designed by groove, very different than usual disney Snow White outfit. I kind of like Groove's take on this doll and on the complete series. She also comes with an ornamented apple.

WeWriWar 232: Demon Soul

Welcome to a new excerpt for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

A few days ago, I received the mock up covers for Demon Soul from We Got You Covered. 

The first one was brilliant but there was something not too Demon Soul about it so I asked for a little change and I got three more options to chose from. They were all amazing.

I finally decided for the one I like and the process started for the final version. I should be able to have a cover reveal next week if everything goes as planned.

Let's start right were we left off last week. 

Brownie sighed deeply and dried her tears; Yue was just an empty shell. She had read so much lately that her way of thinking had changed. 

But even if Yue was just a shell, his soul was still here somewhere in this world or another and wherever it was she was going to find it. Her new knowledge tortured her; she imagined his soul in the worst possible places. She had nightmares for weeks, she dreamed with open eyes barely noticing the world around her and she woke up at night covered in cold sweat. She needed to find Yue's soul back and to protect it, no matter what it took. Nobody would ever care for a demon's soul but her. She saw it and now it was her responsibility.

Pullip Doll Review: Victorique De Blois Gosick (with video)

Today I'm reviewing pullip Victorique De Blois from the Anime and novel Gosick.

Victorique and her friend Kujo were made by Groove in 2012. I managed to get her from a second hand store that sell mint in box dolls from time to time with Kujo as a pair.

She is wearing the sort of uniform that she occasionally wears in the anime even though she loves to wear colorful dresses. She likes to read and has always a lot of books and sweets around her.

She is always ready to solve mysteries with her high level skills of deductions.
