Back in Mai I had a challenge with my friends and a part of it was for me to learn to play "Comptine d'un autre été" from Yann Tiersen. I learned it then forget it a bit then recently learned it again. After several attempt at recording myself, like everyday for more than a week I finally came up with a version that I find acceptable even though it might need to be played a little faster. Anyway here is the video I promised to my friends.

Japan : 鎌倉 明月院
En français
The last part of 鎌倉 we visited was 明月院. 明月院 is a temple with several beautiful gardens including one filled with hydrangea, mostly blue. There was also several statues of Rabbits and a cage possibly containing rabbits which were supposed to be sent to the moon. There is also a small bamboo forest which made me want to go back to the bamboo street in Kyoto by day as I saw that one only at night and the effect wasn't so wonderful except to scare my friends with ghost stories.

Japan : 鎌倉 鶴岡八幡宮
En français
We then left the 大仏 to visit 鶴岡八幡宮 on of the most important shrine in the city of 鎌倉。
We could see the gate from the street then there was a walking way to another gate before arriving to the first part of the shrine. Then we had to walk up stairs to get to the main part of the shrine. There used to be a 1000 years old Ginko tree on the side of the stairs but it felt during a storm in March 2010. We had the chance to see a wedding exit while walking there.

Japan : 鎌倉大仏
En français
We then left 江の島 for 鎌倉 and stop there first to see the 大仏 (or big Buddha) in 高徳院 (Kōtoku-in).
The 大仏 was made of Bronze in 1252. Before the Buddha was made of wood which was damage when a storm destroyed the temple containing it in 1248. The hall containing the Buddha was destroyed by storms and rebuild several time until a tsunami destroyed it for the last time in 1498. We turned around it a lot and took picture, the day was really hot and we were looking for shadow.
