2 weeks in Taiwan : 花蓮市

I spend the next day in 花蓮市, we went to visit the Buddhist Tzu Chi university in the morning. I learned a lot about the action of the Buddhist community abroad during catastrophes. Then we went to the monastery and to the beach. It was really windy and the ocean was really wavy.

2 weeks in Taiwan : 宜蘭市

The next day I went to 宜蘭市 (Yilan) with a friend and we visited the National Center for Traditional Arts under the rain. The Center is filled of shops with a second floor dedicated to the museum explaining how the craft in the shops are made. This can be from wood work or toy to soap. It was very interesting. We also saw the real puppets of a very famous Taiwanese puppet show.

2 weeks in Taiwan : old Taipei

We spend the rest of the day in the traditional part of Taipei visiting an area where very old houses have been renovated and transformed into museum. The museums were about traditional art, such as the making of masks and puppet, or the history of the first hospital in Taiwan and schooling system. At the end of the day we went to have diner in a most touristic part of the city.

2 weeks in Taiwan : 龍山寺

The next day my friend invited one of her friend go so sightseeing with us and she had already planed the all day in the more traditional part of Taipei. The first part of the tour was the visit of 龍山寺 (Longshan temple) in Wanhua Disctrict.The temple have been renovated several times following human degradation. Guanshiyin Budda and other spirits are worshiping there. My new friend explained me the divination system in the temple.
