Versailles castle has a very large park which would have been more easily visited with bicycle even though bicycles are not allowed everywhere. There are a lot of fountains and alleys leading to the other small houses: the grand Trianon and estate of Marie-Antoinette: the garden of the queen and the petit Trianon.
