About Witch Raising.
Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as
the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing
Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being
centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows
Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has
been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult
situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy
with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to
keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.
The excerpt starts right where we left off last week.
“They control all elements and their horns grow with each kills,” Brownie said.
“Really?” Daphy asked incredulous. Brownie didn't answer.
The bathroom was way too small for two people. She was trying to get the blood away but it stuck to her skin. Her hand were stained, it was as if the blood dug under her skin. It was getting hot in here.
“Let's get out and take a real shower somewhere,” she said pushing Daphy out. She didn't want to pass through the wagons looking like that but she didn't have much choice.
She remembered what Grenadine had said once when she didn't have time to redo her hair after sport class. If you walk quickly, nobody will see. It had made her furious and of course everyone had probably seem her with bad hair entering her next class but in this case it was much worse and she really hoped that nobody was going to notice.
