Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week.
Brownie didn't know what time it was but the library was so quiet that she could hear Sahel's dark shadow breathe. Alright, not really seeing that it didn't breath but the way he turned the pages of the old book so carefully and regularly was like breathing. Brownie's eyes hurt from reading too much but she didn't want to disturb the quietness of the night. There was something magical being here alone, she didn't really count the dark shadow as someone else. It was almost as if she could feel the magic creep around, it gave shills to her skin, she wanted it in, all of it.
The book slide on the desk toward her and collide with hers pinching her fingers and startling her. The magic draw back faster than it had been coming. She sighed.
"What?" She said glancing quickly at the dark shadow.
