Thursday Fiction 419: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

“Everything you feel is right,” Romulus said. “No matter how crazy it looks, it's still the only thing you have, the only thing you can trust, inside of yourself. As for trusting me, that's something you and I will have to work on.”

“I'm not so good at trusting myself,” Isabelle said without looking at him.

He didn't answer. He just drove out of town. Isabelle didn't even know what his other self did. Didn't he need to go to work or take care of some other people, she didn't know him and technically, he didn't know her either.

Romulus took a battered earth road on the side in the middle of large trees, after a few kilometers, he parked in front of a small house.

“That's Eric's grand-father's place, nobody in the alliance except you and I know about it and I would prefer to keep it this way.”
