Welcome back to Wednesday Snippet. This week, we continue with Fairy World unedited just where we left off last week.
The queen fairy didn't answer.
"Don't," Deborah said.
But Yue didn't listen. He smiled at her, placed the dark green pill between his lips and swallowed it with a large gulp of water. His body started to shake, he couldn't see anything anymore but flashes of lights, stars. He fell to his knees taking Deborah down with him.
"What did you do to him?" The human girl asked with a shy voice.
"He'll be fine, the drug is just recreating forgotten pathways in his brain," the white queen fairy said. "Having one of the phoenixes for yourself is just too tempting for me to hurt him, don't you think?"
Tears fell on Deborah's cheeks as she held onto Yue. Was this worse than to be with Lord Ezechiel? What was she going to do in this unknown world if Yue didn't recover? This was the fairy world, fairies were supposed to be nice and lovely and helpful even if malicious. Deborah tried to remember the tales of her childhood. The bad fairies were always dressed in black, the one in white were the good guys. But then angels were nice and carrying and saving people and demons were vile and nasty and here she was clinging at a demon who had cured her after she was burned by an angel. Something was wrong, something in this world and all the others was clearly wrong.
