Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction. We continue where we left of last week, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.
He was playing a dangerous game going against Mike but Isabelle just liked him more for it. Nobody wanted to go to Hadesa, even if Mike killed their other self all he would end up with would be to be kicked out of the alliance and Isabelle would love to see that. She was sorry for his host though. He looked like a good guy. Maybe he even was when Mike was away.
“I also believe that my son is more suitable to be an heir,” Teadrika said.
Isabelle put down her fork, she had suddenly lost her appetite. She should have seen it coming. He mother choosing Malik over her. He was so brilliant, he was so perfect. Her mother had wanted a son. And then Isabelle was born. Her father had come up with her name because her mother couldn't deal with having a daughter. It apparently took her month to be actually able to look at her. At least that's what Sophia had said. Her mother was back at the alliance business even more eager for power than before right after giving birth and only rarely mentioned her baby. People didn't really know how to deal with that, it was a way of showing that women could do it all and could have it all and at the same time she was just second under her brother and getting in his way by trying to use an authority she didn't have. Mike had been her first discovery and the first ally she had made everyone accept. Some accepted him because he held an advantageous position with her mother, other because they feared him. There was no real respect going on toward the man, there was just something going on between him and her mother. So now, if he wanted her brother to be the next heir in line, Isabelle was sure that her mother would totally be happy with that.
“I find him a little too young and childish,” Sophia said.
