About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

Samantha might believe every thing in this book like the demons and the legend were real and all and of course Brownie believed the demon part because she had met some but could that tree really be a tree with roots going only in one direction. She wasn't sure. It could also be a man made crystal. It was possible to grow crystal so, they could make a tree to explain the crystal at the door growing all by themselves. OR maybe there had been crystals everywhere and they had been destroyed when they built the temple, that would make a lot more sense. Brownie didn't know why it was important but it was sure bothering her not to know. She turned the page hoping for a translation of the sign writing around the circle. There was none. She walked around the circle too and gave her book back to Samantha.
"I need to know what that means," Samantha said. "It's not in the book and if I don't figure it out, I won't be able to sleep tonight, it's going to haunt my dream."
"That must be really annoying," Josh said yawning. "I say we hurry back down and grab some lunch, I'm hungry."
"You still have lots of stuff in your bag," Samantha said before walking to one of the small building.
