WeWriWar 309: The House at the Crossing 14

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!

I decided to change things a little bit so for the next few months, I'm going to present you my new WIP. It's called "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.

Since it's a WIP, and I still haven't finished the first draft, it's still really row. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement as it goes.

Let's start right at where we left off last week!

Teresa puts some tape water in the electric boiler then puts it back on it's base.
“What letter?” I asked, “I was the one who called you.”
The one of me with the short hair took a wrinkled letter from the side of her back pack. The thing is huge, but she still hasn't taken it off, while she is sitting sideways on her chair. Like all she has is in there and she doesn't want anyone close to it.

“Are you certain of that,” Teresa said.

I remember it clearly, I took the phone a few hours ago. I was going to go to an hotel but I suddenly remember about Teresa and... wait, that doesn't make sense.

  1. Seems this situation bends memories as well as whatever else is happening. Gets more and more curious and eerie! Minor nit typo: "tap water" not 'tape water'...I'm really enjoying this story a LOT.

  2. I wonder what part of letter vs phone call doesn't make sense -- in a whole houseful of "doesn't make sense."
