Thursday Fiction 446: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

“I tried once and got bankrupt with the lawyers. My mother has my grand-father's entire fortune, when she sold this house I had to get someone else to buy it for me so that we could perform the transaction. She wouldn't let me have it. She tried to get it back when she realized I went through extra buyers to get it. My grand-father is ninety-four years old, he needs a lot of help and care and I need to be able to provide that for him when I win the legal battle. So far, I'm no match for my mother.”

“I see,” Isabelle said. That was lame but that was the best she could come up with. “I didn't see much.”

“Now, it's my turn to ask a question, I know for sure that you didn't get your tracker removed in Oris, Romulus came back here completely mad after meeting you, what happened?”

“I went to Oris, my mother showed up, I had to leave.” Isabelle said.
