Thursday Fiction 425: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

“I'll let you do it,” Isabelle said.

“Ok, then just give me a second.”

Romulus walked out of the room letting her look at the cut. It wasn't all that deep she repeated to herself with a little bit less conviction. Romulus came back with a bottle of whiskey.

“Take a swing,” he said handing it to her.

“Are you trying to get me drunk? I'm still a minor for the rest of the week, that's felony.”

“That, and kidnapping and hiding your suicide attempt,” Romulus said. “I just want to make sure you won't freak out as I stitch you, I can't let you move.”

Isabelle took a deep breath.

“I won't,” she said.

“A swing won't kill you,” Romulus said preparing his material.

Isabelle still didn't open the bottle. It was Romulus's turn to sigh. He put the disinfectant on her wrist and Isabelle winced.
