Thursday Fiction 422: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

There were traces of carbon on one side of the living-room near the chimney but nothing that implied someone almost burned alive here. More like the fire went out of control but was dealt with very quickly.

“They should have left him alone,” Romulus answered and for a second the accent in his voice seemed a bit different.

Isabelle wondered how much control he really had over Eric's body and also how long he could maintain it.

“I'll have to go back to my own universe soon, but you can stay with Eric, I trust him,” Romulus continued with his very own voice.

“So you'll leave me here with no way of contacting you if things turn bad?”

“I thought you could fend for yourself,” Romulus said pointing at her hand. “Let's take care of that. You know they normally sedate you to remove this. I can't even understand how you did it.”

“How did you plan on doing it last night?” Isabelle asked.
