Thursday Fiction 421: Parallel Slip 2: Rebel

Welcome back to a new Thursday Fiction, it's been a while. We continue with Parallel Slip 2: Rebel where we left of last time, following Isabelle as she figure out who she really is.

“Well all alone I didn't think about that,” Isabelle answered.

“Let's go take care of it,” Romulus said opening the door of the car.

Isabelle followed him out. The ground was muddy with rain. She was happy to have her boots but the shoe laces would need a good wash before she was able to use them again. She shouldered her backpack and walked behind Romulus trying to keep her feet on the dried crust as much as possible. It was pretty slippery.

The house was made of wood, and build half on stilts over the lake.

“Eric's grand-father came here to fish until his parents put him in the retiring home. He almost burned alive in this house, you can see the traces on the wall.” Romulus said.
