Welcome to a new part of Vampire Heart unedited. Have you been bitten yet?
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle. After finding out that a younger version of Nicolas might not be acting with his best interest at heart, Viorel decides to leave for the north. He is now traveling with two people, Alexej who needed to get out of Praha and Irina who he accidentally rescued.
Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left off last time.
I crossed the threshold, appreciating the consistency of the air and to be able to go through. I really needed to learn how this worked, just in case I needed to break in somewhere else later. I took my sword out and plunged it in the stomach of the not funny one. If he had been giving me any attention instead of taking it on his colleague he might have seen it coming but the thing is people can't go against their nature.
"Thank you," I said as he felt on the floor at the feet of his two companions. I let my smile out but nobody smiled back at me.
The space was narrow and the second Jäger felt as easily as the first one when my blood thirsty dagger found his throat.
"You know, if they put the protection up, it was for a reason," I said to the younger one.
They hadn't even given him a sword, it was a pity that such a young kid was in the hands of them but I couldn't take any risk. He wasn't too smart either, he didn't answer anything.
"Where did they take the wolf?" I asked.
I could have asked how many people there were but that would have been pointless, a part of me wasn't even sure this one could count. He might have been muted by the shock of seeing me for who I really was and to have both his companion bathing in their own blood on the floor because once again he didn't answer. But he smelled really good.
