Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!
How are you doing?
Let's continue with "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.
It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first comes into the House. It's supposed to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.
Let's start right at where we left off last time, let's meet Wendy.
I suddenly realize that her life is going to be more drastically changed than mine, if she stays here.
“What are you?” My other self finally ask.
Wendy shows her teeth a bit, trying not to snarl. Teresa put an hand on her to steady her. She does that a lot, making people feel comfortable when it's about impossible to be. I don't know if that's a guardian thing. For sure, I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm not what you call a people person. I'm more of a book person.

Interesting snippet. Won't the character have to learn to be a guardian too? I hope she can pull on her own strengths. Enjoyed the excerpt as always - this is the most complex story ever and I love it!
