WeWriWar 335: The House at the Crossing 41

Hello everybody and welcome for a new Sunday of writing with Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday!
I have been working on rebuilding my daily blog post and it's been working pretty well so far.

Let's continue with  "The House at the Crossing" and it's a prequel to Demon Soul and the demon series. It's a bit of a mix of Fantasy and Science-fiction.

It follows one of the books more obscure character as she first come into the House. It's suppose to explain why there are so many people is the house and sort of where they come from and at the same time be a first time adventure for the main character as she needs to adapt to her new role and the new version of who she is.

Let's start right at where we left off last week !

My other self rises an eyebrow and looks at me and I can feel I have the same expression on my face. It's quite strange to see yourself like this, it's like looking in a mirror while everything else is different. I never knew I actually looked like that.
“What realms?”
Malicia is done with her bottle and I place it on the table. She is so tiny. I took a sip of my mug and the tea has gone quite a bit colder, it's still good though.
“The doors to places where other creatures roam the earth,” Teresa said.
“She'll need to be changed,” I said.
It's not that I want to interrupt the conversation but realms, other creatures, if it didn't go crazy seeing other versions of me, this might actually do it.

  1. I love the image of a living mirror. I wonder if it'd be possible to become friends with one of these other selves. Or would seeing you as others see you be such too humbling an experience.
