Tuesday Travel 8: Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Welcome to the first Tuesday Travel post. Every Tuesday, I will be presenting an excerpt of Witch Raising: The Book of Fire.

About Witch Raising: The Book of Fire

Witch Raising is a new series with Brownie, the heroine of Demon Soul as the main character. This series is part of the House at the Crossing Series and follows Demon Soul and Demon and Fairy but instead of being centered on the adventure of Sahel and his demon friends, it follows Brownie as she goes from being a normal girl to a bad ass witch. She has been practicing magick for a while now, saving people from difficult situations but the people at the house, including Sahel aren't happy with her new calling. Feeling that she doesn't have a choice and has to keep learning witchcraft, Brownie leaves to meet other witches.

The excerpt, we start where we left off last week

She let the water wash over her. The shower wasn't really helping the thoughts running inside of her head. She was playing in her head all the possible things Sahel wanted to talk about and always reached the same conclusion. He was going to tell her to stop the magic, that she was an addict and needed out of it. And she would argue that it didn't work that way and that she couldn't just stop something that was growing inside and he would tell her that she was just doing it on purpose. She now started to understand how it must fell for people when someone who had no idea what they were going through started to throw at them advices on how to live their life. It almost sounded like she was on drugs and unable to have a clear judgement of what she was supposed to do. I drove her crazy, she knew exactly what she had to do. Yes, at time she was reckless, damn, diving into Kallisto's infested mind had been reckless but what was she supposed to do? Go to the Fairy World running after them to bring Seti back. Like that would have worked. They didn't even brough him back when things started to go sour on their side. Damn her but that too had been reckless and definitely not her doing. She should have been there with them and Kallisto too, and Evalynn too, in the Fairy World except they decided at the last minute to make it a guy things. She would have bet that the dive had been a lot more dangerous. If they had thought just on freaking second more before separating Seti and Kallisto, she wouldn't have had to do anything at all. Now who had been reckless.
