Wednesday Snippet 157: Blue Angel (Midweek Tease)

Welcome to a new part of Blue Angel unedited, we start right where we left off last time. I'm starting again in Midweek Tease, you can find their blog here.

“Didn't you hear? Something is happening in the Demon World, Souls have been stolen, there elder are rising and spies never come back,” the other said, he was smiling but there was nothing to really smile about.

“How do you know that if the spies never come back?” Isakael asked. The question burning his lips was, “why do angels need spies if they are so nice? Aren't they supposed to be nice to demons too?” but he knew that this was a bit much. This was showing that the rules had been broken. Angels wouldn't break the rules, at least not openly.

“There are rumors, there souls didn't come back either,” the other said.

“It never occurred to you that they might still be alive,” Isakael answered. He was annoyed, he knew about the stolen soul, about one of them at least, it had been recovered and it was in his own house, in the body of a demon and somehow, that demon owned it.

“Come on, you know the demons better than anyone, you are the only one who can stick around some and still breathe,” the other said laughing.

Isakael turned around and finally looked at him. He was taller than him. Isakael refrained the thought of pinning him against the wall, he burried his hands deep in his pocket clenching his fist tight. He couldn't let that happen here.

“I'm not in the mood,” he said.

The other shrugged, he was still smiling. His wings were incredibly still in his back.

Isakael turned around and started to walk again. He was going to know everything about the problem in the Demon World soon enough, it was the reason all angels had been called to this place after all.

  2. Another great snippet! I love the line about wanting to pin him against the wall, but instead clinching his fist in his pocket.
