Summary of the previous episodes: Viorel has been tortured by his supposed family who wanted to have him burn in the sun. Strangely enough the sun didn't burn him as expected but Viorel has no memory of who he is. Following the advises of his supposed father, he left Sighișoara and is now traveling to the West. After some skirmish in a previous city, he found refuge on a boat. Viorel is now in Vienna. The little problem is that the guy at the inn was a bit of an asshole and helped capture Viorel thinking he was a vampire, which he is but nobody needs to know. Now there is a huge man (which I call the colossi) taking care of Viorel and a priest. They brought a girl. Torture my holy water... Fail. Viorel managed to confuse everyone, now he would like to get out of here. But the girl seems pretty useless. They still managed to escape and he left the girl to the care of the boat lady before going back to have two words with his captors but his power of persuasion were failing him. The priest wanted to crack a deal but Viorel is not really up to help his enemies. He finally got some blood but he can't risk to stay in Vienna. He travel to Linz were he stays a bit to learn German.
Viorel wanted to go to Praha but redirect himself toward Augsburg instead where he wants to get a horse, except that the horses are a bit scared of his vampirism and maybe something else. Viorel is really not a horse expert. Then he comes into an altercation with couple of people, he wants some fear in his blood. The girl Viorel has found seemed to enjoy the game. Viorel prepares for the nightmares that come with a feast of blood, in a rush to leave, he cross the dukedom of Lorrain.
We introduced Sorina, three weeks after the beginning of Viorel's escape.
Viorel dreamed of Sorina and woke up not really remembering anything. Traveling to Paris, he arrives at "La cour des miracles". He is rescued by a stranger who turned out to be Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist he was looking for. Nicolas does some strange experiment without Viorel's agreement. Some people are looking for Nicolas's secrets. On the other side of Europe, Sorina awakes and Viorel's past in haunting him. Viorel discovered that he can change into a wolf but that's not the easiest thing to handle.

Now, let's continue with Vampire Heart, right where we left of last week

It had been a week already and Sorina’s entire body was shaking. She didn’t remember when it has started. She had tried as many position as she could to make it stop but being on the stone floor was painful for her body. It felt as if her body was eating itself. She had never felt so weak. When touching herself she could feel her bones through her skin, she had never thought that they might stop feeding her. Vampires needed blood, they were immortal though, and she wondered if she could die. She wanted to die, she had never wanted to die so much even when they had killed her parents even when they had tortures Viorel in front of her, even when they had tortured her and kept her captive. She wasn’t feeling like herself any more, something in her was broken, she couldn’t hear the reassuring beat of her own heart any more, she was completely lost in her cell and she was feeling so lonely. She was even missing the old slave who had been carrying her away and torturing her, she missed the presence of something moving and breathing near her. She had stopped trying to breath long ago, even if she managed to fill her lungs, there was nothing happening, no relieving feeling when sighting and it was impossible to yawn. She was so tired but she couldn’t sleep. And all that was the lease of her trouble. She was thirsty. She never remembered being thirsty before, not like that. She felt as if her entire body had been dried up her throat was dry down to the stomach and all she could think of was blood. She wanted blood any kind of blood anything would be better than that thirst, she wanted to go out and to drink anything she could find. She imagined the taste of the blood in her mouth she still had disgusting thought of being changed and she hated what her sire had done to her, she hated that she had a part of him in her but she couldn’t help wanting blood, more of it.

She heard a faint squeak. She concentrated on her ear and turned her head toward it slowly, she had never heard that well, she could ear through the walls of her cells but she knew that the thing which had been squeaking was close very close. She rolled on herself squatting back on her feet, her bones cracked with the effort, she was fast and agile but she wasn’t feeling at her best. She looked in the darkness, her new vampire eyes could see in the dark. It was in the corner, a huge fat rat. It was moving it’s whiskers, humming the smell of her cell, probably looking for some food. But it had become the food. Sorina passed her tongue on her fang and waited, readying herself to jump, she would only have a chance. She had seen cat catch rat before but she had never thought that one day she would be the cat. The rat took few steps forward, it was fast but Sorina was faster, she jumped high and felt near him grabbing his body with her bare hand. It started to quirk louder, moving to free itself but Sorina didn’t take the time to look at it or listen or pity to poor little creature, she pushed its head away from its body with her free hand and dig her fangs in its throat, the taste of the blood filled her mouth, it was leaking quickly in her mouth and in her throat, it seemed to be repairing her sore tissues as it flow inside of her. She sucked as much as she could, the body of the rat was becoming thinner in her hand, she was absorbing all the fluid out of it. She pressed it to get more but there was no used, she threw it away angrily, she yelled. It was a beast roar, she had nothing left human in her, she could feel it and it suddenly scared her. She looked around and waited for someone to come but there was nobody, there had never been anyone. She resumed her foetal position on the floor and waited for more blood to come to her.
