Wednesday Snippet: Demon World 71

Welcome to a new part Demon World unedited. We start right where we left of last time.

“We’re going out”, Azazel said passing his arm under Sahel to support him. He was heavier than him, no wonder as he was living in a house always filled with delicious food and always hungry anyway. He didn’t move.
Azazel sight and started to fly up, searching for a passage to be able to get out of the cave which was falling apart around him. After turning around trying to avoid the larger rocks, he finally found a hole in the wall near of what used to be the third floor. He entered it all speed, just before the main part of the ceiling collapse. Inside the corridor, it was almost the same, he knew where he was, he flew as fast as carrying unwilling Sahel permitted it. He threw Sahel harshly on the ground as soon as they were outside.
“Are you a nut case?” he said but he was feeling more relieved than mad. He had thought he would be angry but he was just happy to be alive, he landed nicely on the floor and took few steps looking around. The street was deserted, in general, demons didn’t stay to long near the place of a murder, after the first curiosity had past, they were just acting for themselves pretending not to know anything. It was rare to find out that someone had been murdered in the demon world, demons were really skilled at hiding their victims.
Azazel finally came back to Sahel, he hadn’t move, he was still lying on the floor. He grabbed him by the collar, he still had no expression on his face.
“Damn you, all that for a human, she was gonna die before you anyway”, he said pushing him away violently, he took few steps away. The happiness had passed. He was feeling the anger coming up now. He had all the reason in the world to be angry, after all he had almost died in their just because Sahel was a quitter.
He came back near Sahel and grabbed him by the collar again, ready to punch him in the face but he notice a medallion around his neck, which seemed to be jumping on its own. He took it in his hand and pulled it open, a dark form came out making him fall back. The shadow rose up over his head before turning around to face Sahel. Azazel had never seen anything like such, he stayed looking at the shadow and at Sahel wondering what packed they could have made, he had no doubt that the shadow was a dark spirit, the power of darkness was coming out of it. If Sahel’s power were coming from that shadow and he had liberated it, Sahel was probably in big trouble. Azazel’s thoughts were turning high speed in his mind. How was he supposed to fight an inconsistent spirit like this one?
The shadow was mad, trying to resonate with a spiritless Sahel.
“Are you a nut case? What do you want? To kill us all? Both of us? If you are tired of leaving, fine but do you know how hot it was in there, I don’t want to die, I have longer than you to live and I intent to live my long long life as long as I want it to be. It’s not for you to decide. I agreed to come with you because there was danger, now if you want to be all on your own fine, I’ll go back to the library and I’ll watch Brownie doing Magick, that’s a lot more fun than staying with you in this close thing. If you can’t take care of yourself, don’t expect me to do anything for you, help yourself first”, the shadow said.
Sahel didn’t move nor answered.
The shadow put his hands on his hips and looked at him.
“You could at least say something”, he said angrily.
“Heu, excuse me”, Azazel ventured, the words felt strange in his mouth, he wasn’t used to ask for permission to speak but he felt that this time he needed to be cautious.
