Welcome to a new excerpt of Demon and Fairy for the Weekend Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

In the previous episodes: Seti let the chaos got out of him as the father of his sister's fiance threaten to break the engagement. Wild, he flies to the beach to see the only person near whom he can get rid of the Chaos without pain, the fairy Kallisto in the Human world below his. He can only observe her through a tidal pool. But this time, she is in danger. Trying to rescue her from a snake, Seti lands in the world below. However, as Kallisto tries to touch him, he flies away back to his hidden place on the beach and listen to Kallisto's conversation with her best friend Kelpie who once again proposes to her and is refused. Kallisto needs to choose between Kelpie or going back to the fairy world to marry prince Kordelius. As the night comes, Kallisto goes home and so does Seti and of course his parents are all weird... (Remember, Seti used his forbidden power and left without an explanation... ) Then Seti was mysteriously pushed in his room, in the dark and apparently turned blind. For the past few weeks, Seti is trying to control the Chaos who wants to take over his body. We had some flash back to explain the relationship between Seti and the Chaos. Seti managed to open a hole in the wall while keeping the Chaos away, but how long can he stay in control?
Here are my 8 sentences, we start where we left off last week. Seti found the way out, but he was expected. (Of course we start with Seti) Last week he was asked, “Where do you think you are going?”
“We’d better prepare for the worst,” the other one added.
“Yes, it is time to call the elders,” the first one answered turning around to leave.
“Is that it? Was that the plan? I trusted you when you said that locking him in his room was going to solve the problem, and now you are telling me that it was for nothing?” Seti’s father asked angrily.
“What did you expect? That some time in the dark was going to kill the evil inside him?” The man who had stayed said laughing. “He wasn’t supposed to get out of his room ever again, now he went out faster than expected. You should have called earlier when the Chaos manifested, now it had taken too much power over him.”

Answers to last week's comments

You're right, it looks like a lot of dark things are coming and that Seti needs Allies. Now the question is: Do you believe that Seti is dead and that the only thing remaining in is body is the Chaos? Or do you think these guys are mistaken?

  1. I like the anger from Seti's father. It seems like he's been fed some lies, or at least some half-truths.

  2. Interesting fantasy concept, sounds very intriguing. It is never too late to come back from a struggle with darkness.

    Nice snippet.

  3. Interesting ... I wonder whether the father will come over "to Seti's side" after all.

  4. I'm so glad his dad isn't outright evil--that he was just misled!

  5. Hmm. Sounds like a right mess. I look forward to seeing how they get control again. Great excerpt.

  6. These people who are supposed to be "helping" Seti are horrible. Fingers crossed he gets away. I don't see how Chaos can be worse than they are.

  7. I think that Seti is finding his true nature so I don't think he is gone/ However these guys who told the dad to lock Seti in his room sound suspicious.

  8. He doesn't sound like he was going to help Seti at all. Enjoyed the snippet. I dod hope Seti gains control over the Chaos.

  9. Wow... this sounds like a much bigger problem for everyone involved.

  10. Based on that snippet, I'm not convinced the Chaos is the only --or even the most-- evil thing around. It sounds like getting Seti the proper help won't be easy.
