Thursday cinema: The hobbit: An unexpected journey

Welcome to a new Thursday Cinema.
This week to celebrate that "The Hobbit:  The Battle of the Five Armies" was out at the cinema yesterday, we will have two movie posts. One today about "The hobbit: An unexpected journey" and one tomorrow about "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug".

Story: Bilbo Baggins is a typical hobbit. As a hobbit, he likes to stay in his comfortable home with his books and never ever dreamed of going on a strange unexpected and uncomfortable journey. Unfortunately, the wizard Gandalf has different plans for him in mind and invites the a group of dwarfs to have a meeting in the hobbit's home. They then go on a journey to claim back their homeland taking with them... The Hobbit.

My feeling: I enjoy the story. I kind of like when movies start with someone telling the story which happened a long time ago. This movie starts at the same time as the Lord of the ring except that we follow Bilbo Baggins in his memories instead. I really enjoyed how the story unfold and how Bilbo was able to change through it and make choices for the greater good, even if they at time seems a bit out of characters. I think Gandalf has a way to make the best come out of people and he knew that nothing ever works without a hobbit to lead others. It was a really nice movie to watch. The ending was also a nice one, especially for an open one.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for another Cinema post.
