From Hong Kong, it's really easy to take the boat and go to Macau. That's what we did. We got last minute reduced price tickets. It was a bit scary as you still have to go through crowed custom before getting in the boat, which includes filling forms and showing your passport, a bit like at the airport. But we managed to make it. We first went to the center it was a change from Hong Kong it looks a lot more European in a Latin style as Macau was a Portuguese colony. All the signs are dubbed in Portuguese.
