Today I went to the conbini again. I almost go there every day but that was a different conbini, in Japan conbini are everywhere. And as you are asking, conbini is the short for convenience store. They really have everything and they are open 24/7 so perfect to go there when your fridge is empty and you are hungry at 3 in the morning. Here is a part of the conbini I particularly like, the bookshelf, there are always people reading stuff there.
