France: Versailles: Petit Trianon, have a look inside.

The inside of the Petit Trianon resemble the larger part of the Versaille castle with just a little less of golden sheet on the wooden part of the walls and doors. What really struck me about castles in general is the stiffness of the furnitures. It all seems really uncomfortable to me. There is no comfit sofa to sit in. People at that time really needed to look good and straight in all occasion and never seemed to have time to relax their body. It must have been draining. If you ever wonder why the King's beds are so short, it's because they also slept sitting.
