Thursday Fiction 300: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

Even when I tried to be friend with them after a while I was cast out to go play with someone else, because they couldn't handle my difference, until there was nobody left to try to be friend with. Traveling to the parallel worlds was the only thing that was truly mine, the only thing I could count on, the only thing I had that would never leave me. I might have sounded greedy but as much as I wanted to share the information and the science and the details, I didn't want to share the experience. I had just discover that Michelle had access to all my memories while I didn't even know much about her and it had to be the same with all of my other self. I didn't want to share my body with them too. Who knew what they would be doing with the opportunity? I didn't want to have useless risks being taken.

"So you really don't want to tell me?" Michelle's voice was fading.

"It's not like that, I faint and then I wake up here or somewhere else. I have no control, when, or how or where I'm going to go."

"I don't believe that," Michelle said.

"Well, you probably know it though since you've seen my memories, you probably know how it happens and when and why everybody around always freak out about it," I said.

"I saw it, I just think you don't care when you do it or who it annoys. That you do it whenever you please and want to escape responsibility or something unpleasant," she said. "And now you wish to go back because I'm making you uncomfortable by saying the truth. You think you are a nice person but I don't see it that way. You just come to other universe to mess up other people's lifes. My father warmed me against it, he said that I needed to control myself and when I travel to be an observant and nothing more. But you don't care about the rules."

"Oh, I'm really sorry, nobody ever gave me the rules book! Nobody in my world knows about traveling to other worlds in your freaking head. We don't have the advanced science or the advanced technology yet," I said.

Thursday Fiction 299: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"You are seeing my memories?" It was my turn to feel violated, I had only shared her body and moved around with it and taken decision but she was seeing everything I had ever done. I was glad that somehow I didn't have a boyfriend yet. I didn't want to share my first kiss with anyone, even another part of me in a different universe.

"Of course, you are taking over my life, it's normal I take over yours even if I'm still in this body with you," she said.

"I never saw your memories, I have no idea about what your life was like before the first moment when I came here and I have also no idea what your life has been in between my visits."

"Your life is so strange, sometimes you are in very strange places."

So she was traveling too, she was getting my memories from the other universes.

"Stop it, ok, stop looking at my life," I said.

"It's not like I have control over what's going through me, I see everything and every time all at once, it's like it just belongs."

This was becoming creepy.

"Teach me how to travel."

"Oh no, no, no, no, no!" That escaped me before I could master the thoughts. "I mean, I don't know how I do it, it just happens. I'm the only one person I know who can do it. In my universe, everybody think I'm sick."

The truth was I wanted to know how I did it but I didn't want her to know. I didn't want anyone else to know. It would result in a terrible mess. What if she was right? What if she was supposed to be the one sliding from universe to universe and I wasn't. Then would we end up both slipping away whenever we desired or would her somehow birth right give her the advantage and made her the only one slipping. Then what would I do. My entire life was messed up because of it. My mother had made my childhood hell going to the hospital with no normal play or sport like the other kids. Everyone from back home thought I was the bizarre girl.

Thursday Fiction 298: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"Because you ask me? I think... That's how I always thought about it. One of my other self gets in trouble and I slip away from my body and from my life to come to the rescue."

"But you know nothing about me, nothing about this world, nothing about this ship, nothing about our customs, you should have followed Tucker no matter what, Fin is just... too young and too ambitious and too bold and he changed so much."

"You would have followed protocol and you would have followed Tucker and let him deal with things and forgotten about your father and Antares?" I couldn't believe it. Was I really doing everything wrong? Did I really mess up my other selves lifes completely?

"Yes, I would have. Somehow I know my father would have wanted me to do exactly what you did but, it's something I can't deal with, and then you keep coming back and making everything worth. It's true that now I have to just face the consequences of my own actions but they weren't mine, they were yours."

"Talking about that, putting Fanny in charge was the worse idea ever," I said.

"Which is why I removed her as soon as I could and she resents me for it and I'm almost certain that on the top of everything she was the one sabotaging to engine. You see, it couldn't have been Tucker, he is a control and safety freak, he can't possibly get anything done outside of protocol," Michelle said.

I didn't like how this conversation was going. It was easy to blame me when I had no control over getting here in the first place.

"Except placing his own person chosen crew on board to take over yours," I said.

"I still don't understand how this happened," Michelle said, her voice was barely audible.

"Stay with me, I can't ear you," I said.

"It's hard to stay here, your memories are overflowing me and I can't concentrate on here and now, it takes a lot of focus."

Thursday Fiction 297: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

It wasn't what I had expected, I thought that when I was to come back here, we would have reach Antares. I would be able to talk to Michelle's father or I would be dealing with Fanny's problem but, that, talking to Michelle who knew about me and everything, that was unexpected.

"I don't know how I do it, I just faint and somehow my body stay where it is but my mind gets inside of yours or someone else."

"The first time, I felt like I was vanishing, disappearing, like there would be nothing of me left but only you. It was scary. It took me a while to remember who I was and that I wasn't you," Michelle said.

She still felt scared, I felt scared as she was sending me all her feelings at once.

"Then I learned to keep a little bit of myself, to keep my memories, to remember while I was watching you inside of me. I felt violated. How could you do that to me? How could you talk to my friends and my crew and do all those things to me as if I was nothing?"

I felt her anger rising and then suddenly it was gone.

"And then I realised that you were me, with just different memories, a different life, a different mother. I never knew mine, she died when I was young but when I remembered yours I was glad I wasn't you. Is it strange?" Michelle asked.

"I don't mean to take over, I can't remember your memories, I just have to do what I think is right on the spur of the moment, I look at the people around you and I see my friends, people I know, or complete strangers and I have to do something because I can't just make you disappear in the middle of things."

"But why are you even coming here?"

Thursday Fiction 296: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

It was all above my head but one thing wasn't. I blinked three times and open my eyes fully in front of a different book. One filled with equations that made no sense to me. Very long equations cast over the two pages. It took me a moment to realised that I was back on the spaceship and that I was in Michelle's cabin reading the updated version of a book about parallel universe, the knowledge my universe wouldn't have for another few centuries, if ever.

Have you ever felt like you were born at the wrong time? Well, I feel that way all the time, I feel like I'm born in the wrong time, at the wrong place, in the wrong damn universe.

And what I was holding in my hand totally confirmed it. Theory, equations, space travel. It didn't look like these people had found how to slip from a universe to the next either but at least they had advance knowledge about the reality of them all.

"I'm not meant to be here either," a voice said in my head.

It was really weak and I almost didn't notice it.

"Michelle?" I felt like I was yelling.

"Yes, my father told me the stories, about the other world about how I would visit them when I grow up but he was wrong, I am not the one who can do it, it's you not me. I can't understand why, and it's killing me. I want to go, I want to see it all, that's why I became captain, because I though maybe if I could master traveling in this universe, maybe I would be able to go too. I thought that until I met you, it can be only one of us."

"I'm sorry," I said.

"It's not your fault I guess, I just... If I could understand how you do it. Can you teach me?"

Thursday Fiction 295: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

He wanted me to be normal, even though if I had been normal in the first place he might never had been interested in spending time with me. That was so unfair. People never asked if I wanted to be normal, which I didn't. I loved being me and I loved my black out. You always read in novels or see in movies teenage kids who got a new ability like witches or telekinetic, something cool and magical and they whine and whine about it wanting to be normal, wanting to look like everyone else around. I really didn't get it. I consider that my black outs are a chance, I don't want it any other way, of course, I'm biased because somehow I can only imagine what an other way would be but I think it would be boring. I don't want to be like everyone else.

My thought were getting more and more pissed at all the discussions with Alex and I didn't feel like sleeping anymore. I had lived without a friend, I could do it again even if it hurt, even if I wanted to share stuff with someone, there was no way I could continue like this. First Amy ditching me for the sake of passing her exams by cheating, and then Alex leaving me at the end of the class because I dared to say there was nothing we could do about my black outs. Damn, I really wanted to have a huge one just now. I stood up and went to lock the door from the inside. I didn't have any other classes today and I didn't want anyone to disturb me.

I sat a the desk with a textbook about parallel universes. I needed to know there was no way around it.

It took three hours for it to come. I was at chapter 5 and it was describing non-locality experiment. It was a bit boring, I liked the theoretical part a lot more than the experiment, maybe because I always has experience first hand without needing any type of crazy machine. Though the machine did look cool, but I didn't really understand why lasers and liquid nitrogen and cooling atoms were the key to determine the reality of parallel universe.

Thursday Fiction 294: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"Then what are you saying Alex? What do you think I should do? Stay in bed and miss classes every time I miss some sleep due to a night black out? Go to the hospital and have them do more tests as if they didn't do any for the last fourteen years almost daily? Stay in my room and only take online classes or having someone taking the classes for me while I study on books because I can black out any time between here and there? Which one is it Alex?"

Alex was breathing heavily. He was frustrated with me and I knew it but I was tired and I didn't have any spare brain function for trying to be nice and understanding. He knew everything about me. More than anyone had ever known before and still, I felt judged by him, as if whenever he looked at me, he didn't see me but the possible catastrophe hiding behind me blacking out.

The lecture ended and Alex stood up and left without waiting for me and without saying a word. I cursed my awesome people skills and seeing nothing I could do decided to go get some sleep.

Except that I couldn't sleep, all I could do was look at the ceiling without seeing it and contemplating how wrong everything had gone in this universe and in the others. Amy didn't want to be my friend anymore and somehow she might also be betraying Michelle in the other universe and that was my fault because I was too busy hating Tucker for just doing his job. Then there was Fin, he didn't approve of my choices concerning his sister and he was not Alex. Or more exactly Alex was not Fin. The more I thought about them and the less I could distinguish them, they were the same person in two different universes but they looked so closely alike it was impossible not to see one while seeing the other. I wonder if my feelings were because Michelle liked Fin or if they were genuinely mine. I wanted to apologize to Alex for losing my temper. But there was a part of me that was mad at him, because he knew my secret and he was reacting like everyone else, he wanted it gone.

Thursday Fiction 293: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"What if you get so sleep deprived that you slip into a coma like the doctor said you would?"

"What if it's raining when we come out, I don't have an umbrella?"

"What?"

"What if I get hit by a car crossing the road before the university restaurant?"

"Fred..."

"What if a meteorite fall on the amphitheater during the lecture?"

"I get it.."

"What if I can't properly swallow my next meal and it stay stuck in my throat and because I live alone nobody is here to help me breath?"

"Ok, ok, I get it! No need to go to that extend, I get it. But the thing is, these things can be avoided, you blacking out can't."

"Almost 14 years," I said.

"What?"

"Almost 14 years that I have been living with it, and that's when they discovered the symptoms for all I know, it could have been sooner," I said.

"So?"

"So you are telling me that I can't live like that except I don't know how else to live."

"That's not what I'm saying," Alex answered crossing his arm on his chest.

Thursday Fiction 292: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"There must be, because you would never sleep otherwise," he said.

He had a point but I didn't really want to discuss it because it felt like the trips were just dreams and I couldn't think about that again.

"I'll take a nap during lunch time," I said.

I didn't really want to, I needed to finish recording my diary and do the statistics on it.

"You're scaring me," Alex said.

I turned to look at him. He didn't look so scared, maybe a bit concerned at best. I was used to my mother freaking out. I was used to my father telling that I was going to be ok because he rationally knew there was nothing he could do. But Alex was something in between, like demanding of me that I told him what to do to fix me but there was no fix, there never have been. I realised what it meant for other people to have me around. It was painful. I was that friend who could break any minutes and never letting them be emotionally safe again. Especially not that the doctor thought I was going to crash into coma.

"Alex, there is nothing you can do to make me feel better, to stop the trip or make them any different. I'm working on it but I have to live my life and you can't beat up yourself if anything happens to me. I'm tired, look around, everybody but us have been partying last night and there are only sleepy eyes around. I'll survive," I said.

I was trying very hard to be gentle but all I wanted was to be left alone. Every interaction with anyone was just more for my brain to deal with. I didn't drink coffee but I'm sure that's how any coffee drinker would feel up early without coffee. Plus, there was no way to go through that many equation without ending up dosing off. I was a girl and despite sliding into my parallel universes' other selves, I wasn't super human.

Thursday Fiction 291: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"Are you all right?"

We were on the second lecture this morning and Alex had been whispering for a while but I had trouble to focus on what he was saying and I also had trouble to focus on anything going on on the black board. I was copying whatever the lecturer was writing there without thinking about it.

"I didn't sleep much last night, or at all that I can't remember."

"You've been writing on the table," Alex said.

I looked down at my notes to see that the last five lines had been out of the pages and my equations finished on the table.

"Damn!"

I took a deep breath trying to focus. When was the last time I really slept. Two days ago? I wasn't supposed to be this sleepy. But at the same time I remembered a lot from the Fred at the hospital and now I had Julie's memories in my head at least partially and my brain was feeling a bit like it had the consistency of mashed potato. I put the equations back on paper I'll have to tape at the side of the page later and tried to focus on the lecture again.

"Fred, you should go back, I'll take the notes and..."

"In this state, I can black out any minutes, I could black out walking, the more relaxed I am the easier it is," I said.

"But you are not relaxed, you're tired," Alex said almost taking my hand except I was still writing and he was sitting on my right side so he stopped himself.

"Is there a difference?"

Thursday Fiction 290: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week. This week, Frederique is back in her own universe.

I was pulled back as I was sitting on a chair in the amphitheater next to Alex. Julie was in control now and I closed my eyes a few second and blinked to let myself slowly enter my own reality.

The classes hadn't started yet. The lecturer was at the bottom of the stairs taking care of his paper and students were still filling the room.

"You're back already," Alex said stating the obvious.

"I can't be out for five hours every single time, that would make my day so much longer," I said.

"The time doesn't flow linearly between universes?" Alex asked.

I had talk without thinking and he had catch the little hole in the story.

"I'm not sure," I said. "Seeing that I can be the captain of a spaceship it would make sense that the time line are different but then again, it could be just that we went directly from antiquity to renaissance without the all dark age."

"Did you talk to her?" Alex asked.

I took my notebook out of my bag, if he was going to help me through it, I could record it right here right in front of Alex.

"Yes, I talked to her," I said.

"Anything emotional," Alex asked.

"She was crying and freaked out," I said.

"Oh!"

I wrote my trip down on the journal, everything I could remember about Julie's life, her memory, what her dad said, the itchiness and obviously my interaction with her. I was so tired. I probably didn't do anything good in that world. I had no idea how to deal with that sort of problems, I didn't feel itchy, at least not the way she did. I though that might be a side effect of my trips, maybe I didn't feel that way because I had been in so many different skin. Somehow that should have felt gross but I never actually thought about it before. I ended up in my body in different worlds.

Thursday Fiction 289: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"Something like that, more like another version of you who doesn't feel itchy," I said.

I couldn't lie to her. I couldn't built trust if I was lying to her and she was me, that would be like lying to myself. I wonder if my mother also had that problem in my world or if it was just a part of her genetic code that was activated in this particular universe. There was no dust in my mother's house. There was no clothes out of the closet. There was no paper on the tables. Ok, granted my mother might has well have a little bit of cleaning madness going on on the top of controlling me but nothing like what I had seen in Julie's memory.

"So tell me what to do," Julie said.

"Think about what is the best, find an example and do the same," I said.

"But it won't stop itching," she answered.

That was a tricky one. I wanted to tell her to live with it but I knew I wouldn't be able to. I would probably be scratching my head right now if it wasn't for her dad hugging her.

"Let's go home," he said.

I nodded against his chest and he let go of me. My first reaction was to take my hand to my ear but I forced it down.

"Itchy," Julie said.

"I know. But it's the enemy we have to beat, then we've gotta start fighting it," I said.

"I'll try," Julie said.

Thursday Fiction 288: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"You were doing good, one step at a time. With her blood test, we will know if it's biological and how to fix it," her dad said.

I stayed silent, trying not to think in case she would hear me. It was not the compulsive disorder that was freaking her out. It was my voice in her head.

"Did she hear voices?" I asked Julie's father.

He pushed her away and looked at her.

"No, do you hear voices?" he asked.

"No," I said. Damn that was a stupid move, I wanted Julie to see that hearing me was not related to her mum but I just managed to make her dad freaked.

"Then why did you ask?"

"I feel like I'm crazy and crazy people hear voices. I wondered if they are coming to get me too," I said.

He hugged me again.

"You are not crazy, sweety, everything is going to be ok."

"See told you," I said in Julie's head.

"Then what are you, I can hear you," Julie said.

"I'm here to help," I said. "See if every time you feel like doing something you think about me telling you to stop that might distract you long enough to stop you."

"But you'll have to say it," she said.

"I'm not here all the time," I said. "I can't be here all the time, I have other things to do."

"Are you god? Did you come to help me? I have been praying for so long," she said.

Oh, a religious version of me, not a first but still not my favorite version of me, not that I don't believe in god but I'm somehow always thinking about the bad stuff when he gets involved.

Thursday Fiction 287: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"But she can't stop scrubbing," Julie said and her memories flew in me, her mother scrubbing and scrubbing everything they touched in the house, sweeping the floor behind them. Replacing every object they moved and scrubbing her hands with a towel when they forced her to sit. She had to clean, she had to keep cleaning and everything was dirty. I too felt dirty, or more accurately, Julie felt dirty. She wanted to scratch her head and her arm and the itchiness was everywhere in her body. She wanted to take a shower to put the forest away from her. She was spiraling down like her mother.
"Stop," I yelled in her head.
I didn't want to get down there with her. I had seen enough in her memories and what compulsive disorder had done to her mother. I had seen my other self on the hospital bed being blamed for the fire by her mother. Her mother pulling her down with her and definitely not into a rabbit hole, more into a grave. I couldn't go there with her and I wouldn't let her go there as long as I was in this body.
"Stop," I yelled again and the itchiness seemed to be reduced to my head only and behind my ears and I would need to get some Q-tips in there and...
"Stop," I yelled even stronger and I felt Julie's body stiffen out of my control.
"I'm crazy," she said.
"No you're not," I answered.
"You're just normal, no problem whatsoever. All you have to do is taking a deep breath and forget about it, dad is right, you're not your mother," I said.
I knew it wasn't enough that telling someone to stop to fiddle only made them want to fiddle more or even worse, they would stop for a moment and uncontrollably do it again later. There was no way around it. But I was in her own head, if there was anyone who could talk to her, it had to be me.
Julie started to cry even more.

Thursday Fiction 286: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

"I had to know," I answered. It was a safe move. Obviously, I was here because for some reason I wanted answers. I wasn't dressed for a walk in the wood and only a different truth could have made me cry at this place.

"Because your mother is like this doesn't mean you have to be the same. I told you we would find a solution," my father said.

I sighed. I had no idea what he was talking about and that was annoying. I wanted to tap into Julie's memories but that wasn't happening. All I was getting were my own from few minutes before I blacked out and the discussion with Alex. I tried to tap in the long term memories but once again only things related to myself came up.

"Your mother wasn't this bad that last time I saw her, she could still control it. Being alone didn't help but you won't be alone because I'll be here for you," he said.

"Was it the reason why you left her?"

"Julie, you know I never wanted this, she decided she didn't want anything to do with me anymore because she couldn't control me and I wouldn't let her control you, she asked for the divorce, I didn't. I just took her to a psychologist to make sure she would be ok. I didn't know she had stopped going," he said.

The image of my mother hands came to my mind, the reason why I had looked at mind in the first instant too.

"Did you see her hands?" I asked.

Julie's father hugged her.

"I know," he said. "We'll find a way, you'll play the tricks again and again, we'll fine a way."

Thursday Fiction 285: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week, with Frederique fainting into a different universe.

I blinked three times to make sure I wasn't with Alex anymore. I could still hear his voice at first and then the noises of my own world vanished to leave only place to the wind blowing in my hair, the river flowing down in front of me, the birds peeping and the twig snapping under my feet as I walked. I stopped near the river and looked around. It was the farm universe, there was not doubt about it, but it seemed different. My hands weren't dirty and scorched and my clothes looked a lot better too. This version of me didn't help her mother grow vegetables, that was a certainty. But the wood was familiar, I had been there before. I looked around, trying to figure out why I had been dragged here from my world. My other self was alone in the wood. I sat on a stone where I had sat many times before. The wind blew on my face and I felt the tears on my chicks.  Another version of me in distress, I couldn't help myself from thinking and I sighed. I had no idea where I was and I had no idea why she was crying and I couldn't really feel any connection with her. If it wasn't for the wind I wouldn't have known she had been crying.
Did I just come here to invalidate my new theory that strong emotions were the reason why I could communicate with the other me?
"Julie, here you are," someone said behind me.
I turned around and my dad stood there in front of me. Julie, that was a new one, I didn't recall being called Julie before, this was my first Julie version of me. I was Michelle or Frederique and I knew the reason for that, who could have decided to call me Julie. Oh, that was the name of my great-grand mother, on my father side. Great so I had a dad related name which meant a universe where my dad wasn't completely out of my life and of course one of the reason why he was here in front of me.
"I told you it would be a bad idea," my father said.

Thursday Fiction 284: Parallel Slip

Welcome back to a new part of Parallel Slip, where we follow the adventures of Frederique through her slip in different parallel universes.

Let's start right where we left off last week.

"You mean that you are not using your other self's brain when you are in her body but still your own?"
"That would make sense wouldn't it? I can recall my memories but not theirs because I'm taping into my own brain, I can still sort of breath and have a heart beat and whatever bodily function are necessary during my black out state because my brain is still going here, and most of all, I have the brain scan showing activity in my brain and not activities I would have if I fainted. When you faint you have less blood coming to your body remember, and all sort of pre-black out side effect that I miss because, my brain is still highly active. So the theory here is. I black out and my consciousness is filled by the perception of the other universe. My brain is still active and reactive to the new reality and I'm still using it at the same time I am connected to my other selves bodies but not to their brain which remain two separates entities. And we can break the barrier between our two brains and communicate with each other. Now, all I need to figure out is how to break the barrier whenever I want to talk to the other me. That's brilliant."
I was so proud of myself for figure it out this far.
"So you mean your bodies, brain included, are separated on the material plan above Plank constant level because you can't physically travel to a parallel universe but under that level your minds are attached because you find yourself in a different body. Your brains are still separated on an atomic level because yours is functioning here without your consciousness really in it but you think you can communicate with the other mind of your other self because..."
Alex caught me at the top of the stairs before I could fall. We weren't too far from the first class room and I hoped that was where he would be taking me.
