Demon and Fairy WeWriWar 37

Hello everyone !

Welcome to Week-end Writing Warrior and Snippet Sunday.

I've started to work on some novel illustrations, I hope to have them ready soon.
Anyway, let's continue with our story.

In the previous episodes: Seti was in pain and flying to see Kallisto who is the only person who can help him get rid of it. He remembered how he had met her the first time but unfortunately this time it was late at night and she was nowhere to be seen. Seti couldn't spend the night on the Beach and decided to fly home not noticing that another demon entered her house. We followed Seti and discovered his chaotic bedroom before meeting his family for breakfast. They were arguing about Seti's sister's arranged wedding being canceled by the other family and Samira was crying. Their father said that Seti would just have to apologize. and we learn what Seti thinks about the situation. Seti met the twin's father and gave him an unexpected apology demon style which scared everyone around except Taram who had been spying at the scene from the stairs with his twin brother Torin. After the confrontation, as always when he has a headache, Seti flew to the beach and fell asleep near the tidal pool. When Seti waked, he saw Kallisto facing a snake he managed to get through the barrier and stop it from attacking her, at the moment he is about to kill the snake, Kallisto tells him to stop and had him let the snake on the other side of the barrier. Then Seti had an unexpected reaction but Kallisto didn't going to let him go that easily. Kallisto seems to have a very strange combination of people taking care of the security of the house, which scares Seti a little bit while Kallisto seems to consider that he is her best protection. He decided to fly away then notice the arrival of Kelpie. Kelpie had just ask Kallisto if he has already told her about Kordelius' ugliness. Seti is still around listening to their conversation. Kelpie is going straight to the point. Last week one part of Seti wanted to run away, this week we will see what wants the other part of him.

Here are my 8 sentences, we start just where we left of.

But the rest of him couldn’t stop looking at her, hoping that something good was finally going to happen to him in the end. Something like what he had felt when they were together. He had only just met her, and even if it wasn’t supposed to happen again, even if he wouldn’t let it happen again, he didn’t want her to go away just yet.
“Kelpie, you are my best friend,” Kallisto said emphasizing the last two words. “So I can’t marry you, I want to marry someone I love.”

“But I love you so you must love me too,” Kelpie said authoritatively.

Kallisto didn’t seem impressed.

“No, you don’t really love me, and you know it,” she answered.

  1. Aw, you can see the reasoning but...aw!

  2. I'd feel bad for Kelpie if I didn't think that he already knew that, and if I wasn't rooting for Seti.

  3. She gives hope to both of them when she assures Kelpie that he doesn't "really" love her--indicating there is better for him in the future--and Seti--perhaps she will "really" love him. Enjoying this.

  4. Wisdom in the midst of it all. Beautiful eight.

  5. Ah the typical love conflict. Without even reading the previous snippets, I caught on to the story. But I wonder if Kelpie really knows why she doesn't love him

  8. I'm glad it's finally all been said. And I like the way Kelpie exposes his logic--that since he loves her, surely she must love him in return. And Kallisto gets to witness it all. Is Kallisto who she really loves?? :-)

Good 8. You do quite well with the English language, Linda. :-)

  9. I'm glad Kallisto can keep her head during all this persuasion from Kelpie. Pretty funny how he assumes if he loves her she must feel the same. Excellent excerpt!

  11. Aw. Sucks to be the best friend that's fallen in love with the friend. Ya never get taken seriously.

  12. He's such a special guy--I feel this way, so you must feel this way, too!

I'd totally be walking away from this conversation if he kept it up.
